The Service

Sound Decibel Meter is a free, browser-based tool that estimates sound levels using your device's microphone. It is provided for general information and personal use. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice.

Not a measuring instrument

Readings are estimates produced by consumer microphones that are not calibrated or certified. The Service is not a substitute for a Class 1 or Class 2 sound level meter and must not be relied on for occupational safety assessments, regulatory compliance, legal disputes, medical decisions or any situation where an accurate measurement matters. Acceptable use

• Do not use the Service in any way that breaks applicable laws or regulations.
• Do not attempt to interfere with, overload or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
